KINGS OF PAEONIA. Lykkeios, circa 359-335 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 12.92 g, 3 h), Astibos or Damastion. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΛYKK-[EIOY] Herakles standing left, strangling the Nemean lion; to right, bow and quiver; all within round incuse. Paeonian Hoard 70 (same reverse die). Peykov E1030 (same dies). SNG ANS 1021. Beautifully toned and with an exceptionally sharp and attractive reverse. Extremely fine.
